Customer service has always been top of the agenda at Mobus Fabrics, and the company’s investment in a state-of-the-art computer system in 2007 has been the key to achieving some ambitious objectives they set for themselves.
Director Grant McConnell comments: “Our primary aim for the new system was that it would allow us to take customer service to a new level, with a number of improvements to the way we work. We did our research carefully and chose the Mertex system from Reflex Data Systems Ltd. It was designed specifically to handle fabrics, and it was clear that it could improve efficiency across all of our operations.
The implementation of sophisticated new barcode technology in our warehouse has enabled us to handle orders more efficiently, and the information that is now available about customer orders past and present allows our customer service staff to answer a wide range of customer queries very quickly, including parcel tracking for orders that have been despatched, and product information down to the individual batch for matching purposes.
The new computer system has now been in place for some time and we are really pleased with the benefits it continues to bring, both to us as a company and, more importantly, to our customers.”
