The Mobus Group has invested in its own Fire Retardant (FR) Coating Plant in Hangzhou, China. This operates as Shaoxing Sian Flame Retardent Technology CO., Limited. Owning the majority shareholding in the FR Coating Plant gives us full control over the critical flame retardant process.

We have installed a fully equipped FR laboratory offering our customers complete confidence in our FR coating process.

Our Chinese staff have been trained in the UK by West Yorkshire Materials Testing Service which is affiliated to the West Yorkshire Trading Standards. This ensures the highest standards of technical expertise and testing of our FR coating.

Our FR Coating is stringently tested once the fabric manufacturing and coating process is completed and re-tested again in the UK to ensure it complies with the British Safety Standards:

• BS 5852 – Flammability

We are working with West Yorkshire Materials Testing Service towards gaining accreditation for our FR Coating Plant. Accreditation by The United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) demonstrates the competence, impartiality and performance capability of our laboratory.

We have created our own Due Diligence Procedure, which has been developed following UK Trading Standard’s guidelines. This gives our customer’s peace of mind and security. This process allows complete and confident traceability of our FR coating.

We can offer our customers the following services:

• UK trained local staff with strong textile knowledge, delivering the highest standards of technical expertise and testing
• BS 5852 Flammability certification
• Regularly updated test certification provided on fabrics in UKAS Accredited test houses
• Full traceability of FR coating through our Due Diligence Procedure
